Facebook’s Mobile Creator Studio App Finally Lets You Create

The time has come. Facebook’s Creator Studio App for Android and iOS will now allow you to create and schedule posts – a much-anticipated feature for the app since its launch in February 2020.

Previously, the mobile counterpart to Creator Studio would only allow users to see insights of their post performance and respond to comments and messages.

This new feature, announced by Facebook here, has started rolling out on the mobile version of the app.

According to the announcement, the update will provide users with:

Control: Always post as one of your Facebook Pages. With the Creator Studio app, you’ll never worry that you’ve accidentally posted from your personal Facebook profile.

Convenience: Manage content in the same mobile app that features your insights and communication needs for all your Facebook Pages.

More features for video posts: Post videos with these options:

Video metadata fields: Add a title and description to your videos to give viewers more information about your content and entice them to watch.

Thumbnail selection: Upload a thumbnail from your mobile phone’s library or use our thumbnail selector to pick one from the video you’ve uploaded.

Plus, the announcement also hints that there will be future updates coming to Creator Studio to make the content creation experience even better. Perhaps the ability to create Stories…?

The desktop version of Creator Studio is an invaluable tool for many content creators, especially when it comes to scheduling for Instagram – something that used to be notoriously difficult and usually involved pushing notifications to a mobile for the user to then manually post at the right time.

Personally, I don’t use the Facebook part of Creator Studio, but the Instagram side of the platform has been my go-to for scheduling recently, when I haven’t had access to other scheduling tools (and it’s FREE!).

This update is great news for content creators and digital marketers who have struggled with posting on the go, including me. However, it appears that you can only schedule Facebook posts on the app. Let’s hope this gets extended to cover Instagram soon too!

It’s been a busy month for Facebook, as they’ve also launched Facebook Avatar and Shops.
